A Splashing Adventure at Atlantis' Aquaventure Water Park!
I have been going to Nassau, Bahamas, for many years now on various cruises. Usually, we spend our time browsing the Straw Market, visiting the Pirate Museum, exploring the beaches, and hopping on different excursions including a pirate ship adventure. But on our most recent three-day winter break cruise, we decided to do something different and take my son and his friend to Atlantis' Aquaventure Water Park. Let’s just say it did not disappoint!
Why Choose Atlantis Aqua Adventure for a Winter Break Cruise?
One of the biggest concerns with a water park in the winter is cold water. But not here. The pools are temperature-controlled, ensuring a warm and comfortable experience. And with energetic kids eager to conquer water slides, this was an experience we simply couldn’t pass up.
Getting There & First Impressions
Our excursion started with a smooth transfer to Atlantis, guided by a friendly tour escort. Upon arrival, we received wristbands that granted us full access to Atlantis and the Aquaventure Water Park. But before diving into the slides, we decided to take a mini exploration tour wandering through the casino and admiring the beautiful high-end shops.
Then, it was time for some underwater magic at The Dig, Atlantis' mesmerizing aquarium. We loved watching the marine life, but our absolute favorite was the eels! They were so fascinating to watch. The aquarium walk eventually led us straight to Shake Shack, which was just what we needed for a first meal break. Burgers and shakes were the perfect start to the day.
Finding the Perfect Spot
Getting there early is key. Finding lounge chairs can be a challenge. Luckily, I found a prime spot with three lounge chairs under an umbrella, so we were perfectly set up for the day ahead.
Water Park Highlights
The Shark Tank Slide was our absolute favorite. Imagine sliding down in an inner tube through a shark-filled tank, thrilling and unforgettable. The pools and splash zones at Atlantis are great, with plenty of space for kids to enjoy. Beach access allowed us to relax on the white sandy beach and take in the stunning ocean views. The lagoon offered an opportunity to snorkel and explore beneath the surface.
Will We Be Back? Absolutely!
We managed to go on most slides multiple times, but there was still so much more to explore. Atlantis' Aquaventure Water Park is truly an epic experience that we can’t wait to do again. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a beach lover, or just looking for a fun day with the family, this place has something for everyone. We will definitely be back.
