Why I Love Disney Cruises to Europe
Why I Love Disney Cruises to Europe

Traveling has always been my passion, but there's something about cruising through Europe that keeps drawing me back. It's a blend of history, culture, and culinary delights that makes every journey an unforgettable experience.
My first taste of Europe came during my college days with a trip to London. But truth be told, my fascination with the continent began much earlier, thanks to countless childhood visits to EPCOT's World Showcase. London was a revelation, from the regal pomp of the changing of the guards to savoring fish and chips in a cozy pub. Traveling solo, I discovered not just the wonders of a new city but also a deeper understanding of myself.
Years later, when the opportunity arose for a family vacation, Europe was the obvious choice. Opting for a Mediterranean cruise seemed like the perfect way to explore multiple destinations without the hassle of constant packing and unpacking. Each day brought a new adventure, while evenings were spent bonding over dinner and enjoying the onboard entertainment.
Our journey began in Barcelona, where the Gothic Quarter's cobblestone streets beckoned us with their charm. From watching street performers to indulging in gelato, every moment felt like a scene from a postcard. Exploring architectural marvels like La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell left us in awe of Gaudi's genius.
Next stop: Palma de Mallorca, a tranquil retreat with its sandy beaches and majestic cathedral overlooking the sea. In Provence, France, we wandered through the quaint coastal village, immersing ourselves in the fragrant fields of lavender—a sensory delight not to be missed.
But it was Rome that stole my heart. A lifelong dream fulfilled, every corner seemed to whisper tales of ancient glory. Our private-guided tours led us through the Colosseum's grandeur, the hallowed halls of Vatican City, and a stop to throw coins into the beautiful Trevi Fountain.
From the Leaning Tower of Pisa to the art-filled streets of Florence to the haunting ruins of Pompeii, each port held its own treasures waiting to be discovered. But beyond the sights and sounds, it was the sense of wonder in my children's eyes as they witnessed history come alive that truly made the journey unforgettable.
Just last year, we did an Adventures by Disney trip to London following our Disney Cruise from Southampton. It was incredible. We had exclusive access to spaces where the public wasn’t allowed, got to enjoy immersive experiences, and all my kids can’t wait to go back! We checked something off of my bucket list too: Abbey Road!
Cruising through Europe isn't just about visiting new places; it's about creating magical moments that stay with you long after the journey ends. And it's this enchantment that keeps me coming back, eager to embark on new adventures and weave new tales of discovery. Between the magic of Europe and the magic found onboard every Disney Cruise Line ship, your family is going to create lifelong memories on their floating home experiencing new cultures, new places, and new advenutures!
